CloudSigma Joins Forces with Hydro66 to Deliver a 100% Green Cloud Solution

Boden, Sweden, August 13, 2020 – CloudSigma is proud to announce a new partnership with Hydro66 – a green cloud infrastructure company located in Sweden. The two companies, together with HPE, have launched the world’s lowest carbon footprint cloud – the H66cloud.

Hydro66 benefits from some of the EU’s lowest cost 100% green energy. It provides cost-effective cloud and colocation solutions for enterprise, systems integrators, and others such as education bodies and startups. The new partnership with CloudSigma will allow Hydro66 to provide public cloud IaaS services to customers out of their award-winning data center located in Boden, Sweden.

Key Value Added Services

Hydro66’s facility is purpose-built with the environment in mind in every way. It uses locally generated clean green hydropower, completely free of CO₂ emissions. The company’s green approach is consistent throughout, from the site selection and the renewable hydroelectric power source through to the data center design and the cloud platform itself.

Furthermore, thanks to the partnership with CloudSigma, Hydro66 will be able to differentiate itself even further not only in Europe, but also globally, since the new offering will provide a number of unique value propositions.

First, H66cloud aims to help customers make significant savings with a number of innovative features. Those include true pay per use, application portability, and removing vendor lock-in.

Next, it will deliver direct chat support, 24 x 7 x 365. The support is available for all clients, with an average response time of less than 30 seconds. The service also supports any operating systems and facilitates an easy migration to and from the platform as required.

In addition, Hydro66 plans to add more specialized business requirements to the H66cloud platform. Those include high-performance specialist cloud options optimized for blockchain, rendering, machine learning, and artificial intelligence applications.

The joint venture with CloudSigma aims at serving the rapidly expanding cloud market in Northern Europe. Thus, it will be a valuable enhancement to CloudSigma’s current portfolio of European locations, which currently include Frankfurt in Germany, Zürich & Geneva in Switzerland and Dublin in Ireland.
