Yes, we charge for all data transfer usage that does not go over a private VLAN like regular data transfer. That means we will charge for the outgoing side but the incoming data transfer will be free. If you expect significant traffic between your servers in the cloud then it makes sense to put them in a VLAN which is relatively inexpensive and means all traffic between servers in that VLAN is completely free of charge. You can purchase a VLAN from the webapp by selecting Networking->Networks from the menu, and clicking on ‘Purchase’.
