Unfortunately a cloud server (virtual machine) can’t advertise itself by VRRP because it can’t change its MAC address; only packets from the correct MAC address are allowed through. There really isn’t an easy way to allow VRRP from guests without also allowing one customer to potentially break the networking of another. We do offer open networking however and so there are a number of other alternative configurations that can achieve similar results.
