CloudSigma is proud to announce the launch of its cloud offering at the DARZ data centre in Darmstadt near Frankfurt, Germany. CloudSigma now serves the key German market with a native deployment.
Zurich, Switzerland – September, 2016 – Following its strategy of geographical expansion during 2016, CloudSigma, a public cloud IaaS provider with headquarters in Switzerland, today announced the launch of the company’s second new public cloud location for Europe in 2016 hosted in the DARZ data centre facility in Darmstadt near Frankfurt, Germany. The new cloud location is operated via a local German subsidiary providing end to end German legal coverage and jurisdiction complying with Germany’s strong data protection requirements and avoiding exposure to any foreign jurisdictions for customers using the cloud there.
CloudSigma’s local German offering brings it’s highly flexible customer defined cloud environment to the German market targeting companies requiring high performance, high security and a high degree of control over their cloud environment. The partnership between DARZ and CloudSigma is the perfect compliment, extending the high security approach to computing beyond the cloud to the physical deployment layer that forms its foundation in the form of a world class data center solution at DARZ. The DARZ data centre is housed in the former gold vault building of the Hessische Landeszentralbank.

This strength is complimented by fully integrated disaster recovery as a service and other value added services that leverage the power of the hybrid cloud model to combine cloud delivered storage and compute environments in conjunction with existing infrastructure investments. DARZ’s extensive network connectivity allows German customers to connect with low latency into the CloudSigma cloud location to create a seamless environment between their existing colocation and/or office deployments and the cloud.

CloudSigma’s new cloud location will provide the most advanced cloud infrastructure bed in Germany run solely on Intel’s newly released v4 high performance range E5-2697 processors paired with 2400Mhz RAM offering true high performance computing to customers of all sizes. CloudSigma and DARZ are offering supported proof of concept cloud environments to potential customers for the new location.
