Following the opening of its German cloud location in September 2016, CloudSigma joined the DirectCLOUD network and now offers direct connectivity via the DE-CIX Internet Exchange. The DE-CIX platform operates in Frankfurt and has existed for 20 years. Its main goal is to connect a growing number of Cloud Service providers, Internet Service providers and end users. From March on end-users will benefit from secure, dedicated cloud network access through any DE-CIX members to CloudSigma. Above all, CloudSigma users will be allowed to create a unified hybrid computing environment between in-house and public cloud infrastructure in a very secure way.
CloudSigma’s local German offering brings its highly flexible customer defined cloud environment to the German market targeting companies requiring high performance and a high degree of control over their cloud environments. Since security in the cloud is an aspect of highest importance for German companies, with this new partnership CloudSigma is able to offer its customers and any DE-CIX members secure, dedicated cloud network access.

The service of DirectCLOUD enables Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) to access multiple cloud service providers with one connection. In addition, through this functionality, CSPs are able to offer their enterprise customers a variety of cloud solutions in a fast, simple and cost effective way. Via the more than 700 networks connected to DE-CIX Frankfurt, more than 26,000 enterprises with own IP address blocks can benefit from this service.
