As a customer-centric public cloud provider, we have not only designed our platform to meet the demands of even the most complex and varied workloads, but have also made it a point to listen to our customers’ biggest pain points and adapt our cloud infrastructure accordingly. It’s with this in mind that we introduced our direct private patching technology and have earned the trust of some of the most innovative companies and research organizations in the world such as CERN. While our strong customer base is the true testament to the flexibility and innovation of our public cloud platform, it’s nice to gain industry recognition as well. Most recently, we were named as a finalist in three awards: Tech Trailblazers, StorageVisons, The Cloud Awards.
In September, CloudSigma was selected as a cloud finalist in the Tech Trailblazer Awards alongside companies like VMTurbo and CloudCheckr. We were chosen alongside these nominees in part, because our flexible, highly-scalable public cloud has disrupted the media and research science verticals. With our Media Services Ecosystem, media customers no longer have to fly physical disks of film around the world or struggle with disparate locations in order to collaborate on one project. Instead, media providers are able to store, transfer and edit media projects in the cloud, eliminating geographic, bandwidth and cost issues raised by proprietary infrastructure. Similarly, our cloud environment has allowed scientific research organizations to take the strain off of onsite servers, thereby quickly and cost-effectively processing petabytes of data.
CloudSigma’s all-SSD storage has also made a big impact on both the media and research science verticals, but it’s our live snapshot technology and off-site backup capabilities that helped land us a finalist position for the 2014 StorageVisions Awards. CloudSigma’s snapshot technology features have granted media companies a fool-proof disaster recovery strategy and more sophisticated data management, regardless of data type. These features were well received at the StorageVisions conference, where I spoke on the future of cloud storage in the media industry.
Finally, CloudSigma was pleased to receive a finalist position in The Cloud Awards for the second year in a row. In 2013, we were recognized in the Best Cloud Infrastructure category and, this year, we were acknowledged for the Best Hybrid Cloud Solution category for our industry-first, direct private patching technology. With this innovation, customers gain all the flexibility, scalability and accessibility of a public cloud without the security concerns of having data traversing over a public IP, resulting in a true hybrid cloud.
Our momentum throughout this past award season has been a testament to our commitment to innovation and delivering customers the exact compute environment they need. As we start fresh with 2014 we hope to continue our momentum with many more partnerships and innovations to come!
