Do you block any network traffic?

We have a very strong commitment to open computing and as such we don’t place any restrictions on networking for paid user accounts.

All networking traffic is open.

Despite this, usage of our services and network is still subject to our Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service.

Any violation of these agreements will result in suspension of service.

There are however some restrictions over the trial accounts that need to be pointed out.

We block traffic to the following ports during the trial:

  • TCP port 22
  • TCP port 23
  • TCP port 25
  • TCP port 7777
  • TCP port 43594
  • TCP port 43595
  • The motivation for this is simple, we want to make sure that our infrastructure won’t be abused and also prevent users from registering anonymously and damaging the quality of service we are able to offer to paying users.

Additionally, we do use port 5900 for running the VNC console which is used for system recovery and initial set-up of your servers.

Please note that you can change the default ports for the services that are blocked and still use them during trial.

Please contact support via our 24/7 live chat support or by emailing here to discuss specific business reasons you require access to these ports during your trial period.
