Who this notice is for
This notice explains how CLOUDSIGMA AG, trading as CloudSigma, handles personal data when you visit the public marketing website at www.cloudsigma.com, read its public content, or contact our marketing and business teams.
It does not govern CloudSigma cloud-service customer accounts, billing, virtual machines, storage, networks, customer workloads, or data processed through those services. If you use a CloudSigma cloud service, consult the contractual and service documentation applicable to your account or contact your service representative.
Controller and contact
The controller for the processing described here is CLOUDSIGMA AG, registered in the Canton of Zug, Switzerland under CHE-115.204.434, with registered office at Rigistrasse 2, 6300 Zug, Switzerland. Questions and data-protection requests may be sent to legal@cloudsigma.com.
Data we collect
- Data you provide. When you email us, use a contact route, request information, or arrange a meeting, we may receive your name, business contact details, organisation, role, meeting availability, message, and any other information you choose to provide. Please do not send passwords, payment-card data, or other sensitive information through ordinary email.
- Technical, server, and security data. Requests to the site can produce operational and security records such as request time, requested path, response status, IP address, browser or device information, and security events. Infrastructure providers may process such data to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the site.
- Privacy-first performance telemetry. The site sends first-party Core Web Vitals and coarse performance measurements. The application does not attach cookies to that telemetry and its telemetry store does not record IP addresses or user-agent strings. Ordinary infrastructure logs may still exist separately for delivery and security.
- Publishing-console data. The restricted publishing console is for authorised personnel. It processes account details, roles, session and security records, and editorial activity needed to authenticate users, operate the console, and maintain an audit trail.
Why we process data
Depending on the context, we process personal data to respond to requests and take steps requested before a possible business relationship; pursue legitimate interests in communicating about our business, operating and improving the website, measuring reliability, preventing abuse, and protecting our systems; comply with legal obligations; establish or defend legal claims; and, where required, act on consent for optional technologies or marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Cookies and browser storage
The marketing site uses a cs_consent cookie to remember privacy choices and a cs_langprompt cookie to remember dismissal of the language prompt. Theme preference is stored locally in the browser under cloudsigma-theme. Localised paths and the language-prompt cookie support language presentation. These preferences are used to provide the requested interface and do not by themselves enable advertising.
If an authorised user signs in to the publishing console, the site uses a strictly necessary, secure, HTTP-only cs_session cookie for authentication and security. Blocking necessary storage can prevent preferences or the console from working.
Optional technologies and integrations
No optional analytics or advertising vendor is loaded by default at the date of this notice. The consent interface records a choice for optional analytics or marketing so that any future optional integration can be kept disabled unless the required choice has been made. If our use of optional technologies changes, we will update the notice and consent controls as appropriate.
The contact page offers a Calendly booking widget and direct Calendly link. Loading the widget connects your browser to Calendly, which may receive technical data and, if you book, the details you submit. You can instead contact us by email. The site also links to other external websites and social platforms; their privacy practices are governed by their own notices.
Recipients, processors, and international transfers
We share data only as needed with authorised CloudSigma personnel, companies supporting website hosting, security, communications and meeting scheduling, professional advisers, and public authorities where legally required. These recipients act under their own legal duties or under arrangements appropriate to their role.
Some recipients or their supporting systems may process data outside your country. Where data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use an applicable legal mechanism and supplementary measures as appropriate. We do not claim that all marketing-site data remains in one country.
Retention
We retain enquiry and meeting records while handling the interaction and for an appropriate period afterward for follow-up and business records; technical, performance, and security records for periods proportionate to reliability, investigation, and security needs; consent and preference records until they expire, are replaced, or are cleared; and publishing-console account, session, security, and audit records for as long as needed to administer access, preserve security and accountability, and meet legal obligations. Actual periods may vary where law, an active relationship, a dispute, or a security investigation requires a different period. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.
Sécurité
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, restricted administrative functions, secure session handling, security monitoring, and data minimisation. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including the GDPR and Swiss data-protection law, you may have rights to obtain information about processing, access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, receive portable data where applicable, and withdraw consent. You may also opt out of direct marketing at any time.
To exercise a right, email legal@cloudsigma.com. We may need information to verify your identity and request. Rights can be limited or subject to exceptions under applicable law.
Complaints
You may raise a concern with us at legal@cloudsigma.com. You may also complain to the competent data-protection authority where you live or work or where you believe an infringement occurred. In Switzerland, the federal supervisory authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
Children
This business-to-business marketing site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly seek personal data from children through it. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can assess and address the matter.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when the website, our processing, or legal requirements change. We will publish the current version here and revise the last-updated date. Material changes may be highlighted through the site or another appropriate channel.
